The worst meal of our US trip. After hearing great reviews we were excited about eating there. We were so disappointed! Not a single dish matched up to its name, we’ve eaten great Chinese all over the world and also in America. To be fair, the service was good and the servers tried to rectify the damage by taking the dishes to the kitchen and having them redone. The two wines we chose were both unavailable. Every dish was bland, unappetising and overpriced. Just being in Beverly Hills is no qualification for a good restaurant. Get your food right!
Every average Chiness food.. Lots of hype over this established Beverly hills restaurant. Atmosphere good, seating is cramped, probably not the place to go for a intimate evening,… if you want to have a private conversation. The service was fine. The food, which is the main reason for going to any restaurant, isn’t ? was really, really, average ! and the quality did not match the high prices. Perhaps we are fortunate in Europe to have a glut of high quality Chinese restaurants charging sensible prices. For sure, in my city, Mr Chow’s would not be listed as a first class place to dine. My suggestion, having dined is other cities with good Chinese quarters, save your hard earned money, and buy a ready made meal from the supermarket ! You can get some really good Peking Duck.
Amazing. Booked a table on line from Australia, for a friends birthday. They had all the details the food was great , drunken fish was amazing…..loved the champagne trolley. Gave my friend a complimentary birthday sweet. Will return if back in LA.
Amazing!. I’ve heard about this place for years because it’s a known celebrity hotspot. But when I had dinner there I found out it was so much more! The food was AMAZING and they have impeccable service! Everything we had was delicious. I’m sure everything on the menu is great, but if there’s one thing you MUST try here it is the Mr. Chow noodles. We also enjoyed the chicken satay, velvet chicken and spicy pork with chili. The only thing that I didn’t like is that it is a very cramped space because they try to fit as many tables in the dining room as possible. That coupled with the energetic ambiance makes it hard to carry on a conversation. I would definitely go back, but don’t expect to go there for a quiet romantic dinner.
The best Chinese food I have ever had!! I highly reccomend the Mr.Chows chef sampler option everything we had was good
The most overrated and overpriced restaurant I have ever been too. Food was ok but not even close to being worth the price. That’s the first and last time I will go to this place. Save your money!!
Special in so many ways.. We’ve been to this hip Bev. Hills hot spot several times. Always with a reservation, never seated before standing in their tiny, overcrowded bar for at least 30 min. Recently we waited for an hour. That’s special. The scene is loud, crowded, and filled with Hollywood types or want-to-be’s. I mean REALLY loud for a restaurant. That’s special. The wine list is limited, but fairly comprehensive and appropriate for the fair. However, the prices are 20-30% higher than your typical overpriced L.A. wine list. That’s special. The service is attentive, professional and courteous. Their top-notch service is special. The food is delicious, creative and well prepared. The selection is excellent, whether you order off the menu or ask your server to. Never disappointed. That’s special. The prices are outrageous! Never paid a check less than $125 per person. That’s special. I think we’ve been their, done that. Thanks Mr. Chow’s for being so special.
