High and lows. Service is patchy and slow at times, but good when it happens. Food is a mixed bag of delicious and inedible. Truffle risotto was delicious, a veal chop ruined by a stalky unidentifiable green vegetable with the texture of hay. On another day a wonderful fillet Mignon ruined by so so spinach with raw artichoke pieces. Wine list is good. Overall, okay if youre staying in the hotel and feeling lazy. Definitely not worth a detour.
Usually the best restaurant in town for me. The best meal ever and the service was very good. Try the tortilla soup and sweet potato fries. Recommended for your visit to LA.
Excellent friendly service. Perfect place for breakfast, and love the outdoor garden setting. No flash photography allowed sometimes in respect of celebratory guests. Love the fresh home grown organic produce. Timeless, and a must visit if your visiting Beverly Hills.
Top of the Class!. We took a party of 13, including 4 newly minted middle school graduates, to the Polo Lounge for a celebratory lunch. The garden setting was intimate, the food exceptional and service to match! We tried an assortment of appetizers – all were great, but we particularly loved the dungeness crab cake and ahi tuna tartare! For main course, our favorites were the fish tacos, soft shell crab burger and McCarthy salad. And make sure you leave room for the oh-so-delicious desert! Special thanks to our attentive waiter, Michael, for his spot-on recommendations and the Restaurant Manager (Greg) for spoiling the girls with individually decorated deserts to commemorate their graduation. We even met the Project Manager (Howard) who has overseen the hotel’s careful renovation to preserve its timeless beauty and comfort. Top marks all round!
A Beverly Hills Classic. Knowing all the right people in Beverly Hills can get you many things, but an outdoor corner banquet, sitting next to a radiant Angelina Jolie on a perfect Southern California sunny day is nearly impossible. Thanks to a long-standing relationship with the Beverly’s concierge team, I recently had this experience at Polo and so much more. The Polo Lounge has been a celeb go-to spot since it opened, offering a quiet, relaxing courtyard garden setting along with classic lunch standards (cobb/McCarthy salad, strong martinis, bloody marys, an amazing bread basket). It’s a place where studios do business, where millions are made and lost. The service is attentive without being intrusive. The booths are nicely cushioned, fostering a long, leisurely lunch that invites comfortable conversation and taking a bit more time.
A great brunch and wonderful atmosphere. Classic Beverly Hills and I hope they never change it!
It’s nice, service is good but it’s so expensive. I spent over 50 dollars on myself for breakfast. All I had was a regular eggs benedict, side or strawberries/whip cream, and a glass of milk. It’s something I would recommend, but all those added in taxes were unexpected. I had to pay 8 dollars to park my car for about 45 minutes. Overall I spent $60-70 on breakfast, with the tip and parking just to experience it.
