Dissappointing quality. We went to this cafe upon reading the reviews from the website. Our experience in the mexican owned cafe was quite dissappointing. There is nothing french about this cafe, even though it has a misleading patisserie title. The bakery from sourdough bread and coissants are all not flaky outside, and moist inside. They are a bulk conglomerated with some almond paste inside. The cake was also dissappointing although they looked very pretty in the glass window. And on the other menu items, the salad is not fresh with bland dressing.

Downhill slide?. Amandine has been a favorite of my wife’s and mine since +/-2003. We are not local anymore but have made Amandine a routine stop every time we’re in LA because we know good bread (and croissants) and have been consistently impressed. That is until our last visit in May ’13. The latte was good as usual, but the sandwich bread was obviously frozen dough and off the mark. We will be looking for another fine bakery to replace our one time favorite, but will probably speak to the manager before throwing in the towel.BTW, this is a French bakery.

In Love WIth Amandine!. A fantastic place for a date, gathering with friends or family, or just to treat yourself! The menu is delectable, the pastries are heaven on Earth, the cocoa, and coffee are delightful! A really lovely place to sit and feel the joy!

Loved it. I tried the breakfast here and was very happy. I ordered the Amandine Omelette (ham, sauce bchanel, gruyere) and a cappuccino, both very good. I also tried their Gateau Fraise which was nice and light. I will definitely come back to try a quiche or maybe the ratatouille. This place gets very crowded quickly on the weekends because seating is limited so I recommend coming early.
