Bland. Maybe I’m just a purist when it comes to sushi, but I found Bad Sushi accurately named. We tried three different rolls and found all three quite creative and fun to look at but disappointingly lacking in taste. Maybe it was a Bad Night but the rice was under flavored and the one roll we ordered was topped with too much raw jalapeno and lemon with the peel still on it making it somewhat bitter. Not my preferred taste when it comes to sushi, of course.Adding to the flavorless sushi, my miso soup was served in a very old, lacquer bowl that was peeling all around the lip. Not very pretty or hygienic, I think. The one good thing about Bad Sushi was that it’s one of the few restaurants on the west side to choose from that’s opened late.
