Terrible!. This is quite possibly the worst restaurant food I have eaten. Bland, overly sweet, tasteless, greasy, excessively colored — on and on. I have never eaten calamari so appallingly larded and rubbery. This is far and away the worse Pad Thai I have known. Sweet, flavorless, with 2 pieces of tofu, no lime — no redeeming features! The duck curry was better described as duck skin watery-cow milk curry; at least there were a lot of vegetables of relatively interesting variety. But there was no flavor to the curry, lots of sugar and food coloring to it though. The fried rice was greasy and flavorless, another noodle dish was at least marginally interesting, but only comparatively. It wasn’t good enough to retrieve the menu in order to recommend it by name. All in all this was a very disappointing meal. The restaurant has newly moved to Mar Vista into the space of the former Gallego’s. I cannot warn you against the spot more strongly. There is infinitely superior Thai food right along Venice Blvd at Moo Moo Thai on the corner of Sepulveda, at Boom Thai near the intersection of Westwood and at Emerald Thai closer to downtown Culver City. Yuck, beware!
Our Fav Thai Place!. This place is tiny and wonderful! It doesn’t serve alcohol but you can just bring your own! No charge! The food is great, A Rating and it’s sooooo cheap! A fun little nook to call your own.
Reasonable Thai delivery in West LA. When i am in dire need of quick thai food and am too lazy to get off my couch, i give siam chan a ring and they will be at my door within 30mins with a bag full of piping hot food.since i am a creature of habit, i always end up ordering the BBQ Combo for @ $9. the bbq combo consists of fried rice, bbq pork ribs, bbq chicken and bbq beef….seriously enough food for two meals! wooo! the best of the bunch are the bbq pork ribs and the bbq beef. both are succulent and infused with flavor, with the pork ribs being near fall off the bone tender. the bbq chicken is good as well, just not as good as the aforementioned items. i think i got shrimp fried rice last time, it was ok, there was definitely a whole lotta rice and maybe 2 itty bitty shrimps. bah!oh! i once made the mistake of ordering pad thai and i gotta say, it was truly the WORST pad thai that i have ever eaten. the noodles were very mushy and stuck together and there was a bunch of grease, yet not flavor! wtf? how can a thai place not prepare proper pad thai? oh well, now you can see what i am a creature of habit and only order the BBQ Combo eh?siam chan also has a bunch of lunch specials for $4-5; quite a good deal imo.
Small place to grab some cheap eats. Excellent spot for a quick, cheap lunch with some quality food. Not a great place if you’re looking for fine dining.
