Love this place! I usually get Chicago dog. But theres a lot I want to try there.. Everything looks fab! Large dining area. Clean. Nice portions. Items seem fresh with quality.
We chose Portillo’s because of its proximity to Knott’s Berry Farm and our hotel. The place was very busy on a Sunday evening, but we managed to score an outdoor table so the noise inside wasn’t an issue. Go all the way to the back to find menus and place your order. A variety of options but their burgers and hot dog selections are the main attraction. Their burgers were large and flame-broiled. Buns weren’t overly spongy and toppings looked fresh. Very greasy, though – get plenty of napkins! French fries were crisp and tasty and their onion rings were thin but good. Service was prompt – you get an order number when you order & pay and then they call you to pick it up.
Definitely not many competition for Portillo’s in the area.But it is a great experience to try and sit down inside.They offer great Chicago style items. mycameraeatsfirst.bigcartel.com

My Death Row Last Meal. Would be a big beef with mozarella and hot peppers with a side of onion rings. Since I’m dying anyway I’ll take a hot dog too. I love Portillos, food is spot on and reasonably priced, the staff is welcoming and seems genuinely happy to be there, great job Portillos!
Absolutely the most disappointing food experience. Even the next day I am still irritated with the quality of food for the price. Awful.
I’ve been here twice, first time I went I had a great experience. The food was awesome and the staff was really freat, however my second trip was not so awesome. I felt they were really lacking in the customer service dept. I had a shift leader roll his eyes at me when I asked for more gravy on the side. I felt it was not that much to ask considering the italian beef sandwich I ordered was so dry I couldn’t swallow without it getting stuck in my throat. Beware…if you order anything other than a salad you are not going to get any ranch dressing. This paricularly annoyed because I eat ranch with my onion rings. The staff instead of having customer service skills felt that imstead of giving me a thirty cent side of ranch it would be better to give me my money bavk fir the onion rings when I requested to eeturn them. I thought this was rather lame considering the onion rings were $2.25. I won’t be going back although I enjoy the food and not because the of the charge for condiments, but because of the employees attitude and the way he spoke to me with such rudeness. He practically shoved the gravy at me and grunted here. I do not need to make a 45 minite drice from LA o ne treated that way, I can get that in my own area.
