Been to this location a few times. First tried a couple of their LA spots and I was super excited for their OC spot opening. I really enjoy how they set this spot up. Firstly, it’s the biggest location yet, next I like how they spread everything to different areas & lines. They have separate lines for the bakery, coffee and meals. The downside is that they have long lines for everything and the parking is a struggle. Still worth the drive to have some good Cuban cooking.
Used to go to the original place in Glendale in the late 90’s. When I came back to visit in So CAL I found three other locations and more on the way.The place is excellent in every way. The food, the quality, the freshness, the location, the ambiance, and most importantly the price is very honest and fair. They have so much to choose from on the menu and everything is delicious. From savory to sweet!Highly Recommended!

Orange County, rejoice!! The newest location of this popular Cuban bakery and caf is finally open in Buena Park, off the 91 freeway on Beach Blvd., next-door to medieval times. If you have ever been to any of the other locations, whether it’s Downey, Glendale, or Burbank, you know the place is tiny and so is the parking. Boy, what a difference here… the Buena Park location is more than tripled the size, with plenty of parking. This place has been open for a couple of months already, and finally the hype has died. Sure it’s still very busy, but at least the wait is not two hours anymore (or maybe it still is on weekends). I stopped by to pick up some goodies on a Tuesday night at 5:30 PM. The line still took about 20-minutes with a smaller crowd.I picked up a medley of food ranging from fried popular items like the potato balls, the chicken croquettes, the chicken empanadas, to the baked items like the guava rolls, the cheese rolls, to their popular plaintain chips.A variety of 10 pastry items + 2 sodas came to $35. I’ve got plenty of food to take to the office, and I’m sure I’ll be a very popular person for this deed. callmemochelle.com
The building is a thing of wonder, one can only imagine the type of investment this brilliantly located bakery might have cost. Minutes from many tourist destinations, this place certainly qualifies as a sight scene destination. We counted no less than 45 employees, and probably more, during our visit in the morning hours of a Thursday. Business was brisk, lines every section but moving efficiently rapidly.Bakery items, in general, just average. No dazzling culinary artistry here, but all food fresh and constantly moving, which is a great thing. We purchased over $80 mostly to take back home, and avoid traffic on our way back to the Inland Empire. Too much money spent, to what turned out to be just average fair. That did not take away from admiring the biggest bakery in Southern California. 4 Stars.
