We had a beer upstairs then headed down to the 24/7 Restaurant at about 10pm. Pumpkin fried chicken with fresh honeycomb and beef cooked 2 ways – we loved it! The food was a fair price and was impressive! Along with some beautiful cocktails came fantastic sleek service, when in LA next we will be back – and recommend this place to everyone we know! Table tennis after dinner is a great way to finish the night and meet some locals!!!
Meh. Lukewarm coffee. Had to find the server for more (twice, so far). Lukewarm food, had to send it back. Manager came to apologize and didn’t even notice empty coffee cup. Waiting for replacement food. Well, just got my HOT meal — much better. Now I can call it good food. Hopefully the bad service is an anomaly, and not the norm. I just got a refill without having to look for someone! Alas — we asked for a to go container five minutes ago… Had to ask someone else. We were offered free dessert, but didn’t want to endure the poor service any longer. Mgr gave us the coffee free instead of dessert.

The standard is a cool place.Too bad everything in it is overvalued 200 to 500%.Working graveyard and tired of subway, I wandered in and paid $16 for a tiny breakfast burrito and some previously frozen potatoes. $8 more for a bass ale, which is sadly the best they have to offer unless you really splurge for a tiny Chimay.The rooftop bar is pretty awesome, outfitted with the best sound system I’ve ever heard in a bar. But they don’t have beer as I guess the idiots that go there were throwing things off the roof, and their cocktails are twelve bucks-ish and thimble sized.
Late Night Meal. While staying in LA at another hotel, we needed a quick late night meal and felt we should give this restaurant a try instead of venturing over to Denny’s. WHAT A HUGE MISTAKE. The food was bland and devoid of flavor. The only tasty item was our hot chocolate. The macaroni and cheese and chicken strips were AWFUL. Our waitress wasn’t that great either.
Just plain Sexy!. Sexy Food, Sexy venue – enough said!
Great Spot. I dont usually spend alot of time downtown but last weekend went to the Standard Restaurant and had a really fun and sexy dinner. I really recommend the scallops on a bed of pumpkin risotto with a glass of white wine!! The vibe was really exciting, the crowd was fun and the service was very attentive and helpful. After dinner the hotel has a really hot roof top bar as well, which is a definite plus!!
And it was all yellow.. We had a fantastic lunch at this trippy little yellow restaurant. The Dine LA pre fix was amazing and priced right. I hope they add the steak bowl to their permanent menu! Tender glazed pieces of steak ,tempura style veggies and quinoa . The trio of ice cream sandwiches including macaroon, pistachio & vanilla banana were simply to live for! I can’t wait to try it out for dinner!
