Good quality cupcakes without the large amounts of sugar that you get from the cheap market ones. The cream they use on top is delicious and very fresh tasting. It’s nice just to drop in to get a quick sweet tasting dessert.
Big Man in a Small Place. Big Man Bakes has pretty good cupcakes. My girlfriend certainly thinks so, and she’s quite a cupcake aficionado. Their selection seems to be decent, and they have both regular size and mini cupcakes. I wouldn’t exactly say that this place is cheap, but they’re probably on par with Sprinkles and Frosted price wise. It’s funny that the store is TINY and pretty much located in a parking garage in the Old Bank District of DTLA. I actually found this place on accident while shooting pictures in the parking structure. Anyway, in the spirit of brevity, two thumbs up for having good cupcakes in one of the most unusual of spots.
