I WOULDNT COME BACK HERE IF SOMEONE GAVE ME A MILLION DOLLARS!!! I am server so when I go to a restauraunt I have a certain understanding and patience for other servers but this place has the most terrible service I have EVER seen. Me and my boyfriend are from Arizona so this was our 1st experience here. The only reason we choose this place was because they were having the Maywhether and Canelo fight and had the cheapest cover charge. First of all its open seating which wouldn’t have been an issue if the waitresses weren’t standing around on the phone chatting it up with each other to pay attention and notice we didn’t have menus or even drinks for that matter. There was one waitress who came up to us to let us know our server would be right with us. Then she noticed nobody had even came and got our drink orders so she politley asked if she could get us something to drink. It was at least 20 min before we even got drinks. Then on top of that this server even took our order for us. When we recieved our order there wasnt even the correct amount of silverware. I would have stopped a server to ask for some but it was as if our section didnt exist!!!! After 15 min. I finally got up and looked for someone who worked there to ask for a fork. It ended up being the server who took our order while our assigned server was M.I.A. The only thing that kept me frim losing it was her because she was very apologetic, sincere and did everything she could for us. Unfortunately I didn’t catch her name but I wish she was our server. Of course this was only the begininf of our problems. The two tables on the sides of us were introduced to the server that was taking over that section….except us. It was as if we didn’t exist and we didnt really have a specific server. We ended up having a few beers and ordeeing entrees. We felt as though we had to order everything as quickly as possible because we weren’t sure when the next time we were going to be checked on. There was one waitress to be quick to take things off the table that we weren’t even finished with like the fork I pretty much had to get myself! The only thing that was even remotely ok with this place was the food and the bus boys that were constantly walking around picking up dirty dishes and that waitress whose name I didn’t catch. Pretty much the only reason that we stayed was because we shelled out 30 bucks that was non refundable and we had great views of the fight. Plus this place has the nerve to charge a 18% gratuity on a bill over a hundred dollars! And this girl didn’t deserve a single dollar of it. I was so upset that I just signed it and left. I NEVER want to step foot in that place AGAIN!!! Ive had better service.

BAD BAD BAD EXPERIENCE. Went by with couple of friends to watch the Lakers a few weeks ago. For Game 1 of NBA Finals I thought I would get my group together to watch at the new downtown restaurant, but the experience was utterly disappointing.I called to make a reservation in the AM. I was told that they are no longer taking reservations as they did a week ago. I was told to just show up and take a table myself, but no reservations. Bummers, but whatever I will go in very early along with my work stuff and netbook and I thought it would all be good.I arrive at the restaurant at 4pm, 2 hours before game time. I was told as I entered the restaurant that I could not take a table and wait for my group, but that they are now going to just seat people as they come in and no reserving seats. I explained how we came into the restaurant just days before and how I did call for a reservation only to be told the rules changed. I then followed the new rules and in between the time I called and my arrival, they changed the rules again. UNBELIEVABLE! I was then told to take the table and if people do not show up they will start to place others at the table. I thought that was fair, but moments later the hostess decided to change her mind again and just started to give away my seats.Problem was that our group spent days emailing etc regarding getting together. I win out in promoting Downtown LA and this great new restaurant. People are trekking in to Downtown not only from DTLA but from the Westside, South Bay, Eastside and SGV.It was too late to make arrangements to go to another location and I had a group of massively unhappy campers wondering WTF.So basically my gripe is that I understand it is a new venue, but that they changed the rules on me several times and was not at all very compassionate with our plight. Customers are not valued at this establishment. They just didn’t care. We have a good size group of Downtown professionals who gather to drink and happy hour and more so watch the Lakers over the next 2 weeks, but we highly recommend that people lay off this restaurant. Customers are not valued here.
