I feel bad giving this place such a low rating, but the coffee was just not enjoyable for me. It was way too strong & overpowering for me.Service was good & cappuccino’s came out pretty fast. It was a great place to sit & relax & have time out from the bustling market.
Would you spent almost ten dollars on a milkshake? That was the existential dilemma I was faced with last month in LA when visiting the Grand Central Market. The G&B Shake had been recommended to me, but at $9.75 I was wary. Like, REALLY? Ten bucks for a shake? However, I took the plunge and it did not disappoint. I am not sure how much coffee or ice cream went into the shake, but it was thick as hell and very very strong. It was also amazing. Wouldn’t hesitate dropping another $9.75 on one of these the next time I’m in LA.
Love the aesthetics of the store itself and the friendly staff. Pastries on display and food menu looked good but I was only interested in coffee! Coffee bean used for my cappuccino was my kinda coffee bean – rich and smooth medium roast. Appreciate the foam and milk being nicely texturised/stretched at the correct temperature too. Great coffee and is my go-to when in DTLA!
