I would of loved to leave a better review for this place but oh dear who made the summer menu?Who is cooking in the back? I mean for those prices it should be good.I found a travelzoo so it wasnt that bad. $95 plus another $45 bucks for 3 other items and a $40 tip. More than 20% I might add.We spent a total of Service was really good but the food was just below parThe filet mignon came with shaved asparagus in a blackberry wine sauce sounded cool but noooo lolMy filet was semi sliced in 5 different places (Im sure to check for temp) and in half with an over cooked piece hanging on one corner. It wasnt a good piece of meat so I unfortunately had to ask for A1 sauce. That should say something, I never ask for that. The salmon looked alright but the couscous needed some flavor. The lobster ceviche: cute served in a half coconut but tasteless. Tiny pieces of lobster claw and a bunch of onion and everything else and the bottom was filled with tasty tasting guacamole. No chips or anything served with it just the ceviche. $18Now the one that really pissed me off and I suggest not getting. The Cesar salad do not think its a reg salad. $14It was mizma or something that kinda of resembled arugula, DRENCHED in cedar sauce, with a poached egg, asparagus and snow peas!?What in the world??!? Who thought that was a good idea.Believe me just do the simple Cesar, people are going to be confused. The dessert selection sucked. I saw sooo many cool looking desserts on yelp and then got to pick from goat cheese cake, ice cream and mousse.I picked the goat cheesecake and it had beet squares around it.Clearly this place is trying really hard to be extra gourmet and fancy but they need to rethink the menu. Like I said serve was goodBut I would rethink visiting this place even with the travelzoo.

Nice Outside Bar in Downtown L.A.A very nice option for a drink in downtown L.A. Outdoor patio with a view of the amphi-theater in California Plaza

terrible service. was ignored for at least 20 minutes. ended up dropping cash for our drinks on the table and left. came back the next day (staying at the hotel connected to it) and the bartender refused to serve us since we were sitting in a different part of the restaurant.

Service at the bar can be really good, like 2 days ago when our waitress was really friendly, or really bad like today when another waitress got upset when another waiter took my order at her table. Well, if she wasn’t sitting by the fire they wouldn’t have to take over. I left a decent tip, but that was more for the other waiters that were doing her job.

A perfect experience!. Wonderful service, delicious food, generous portions, and surprisingly reasonably priced for an upscale restaurant in downtown LA.Had a pre-concert dinner here three weeks ago. Thinking fondly of that evening after a distressing experience at another restaurant a few blocks away.

Zagat overrated. It’s not bad but it pretends to be something it’s not. The food is ok and dcor adequate. A good place to hang out with friends. The outdoors scene is good
