What a great meal. The truck is in the parking lot of our building today (2151 Grand Ave, El Segundo). I went down to give it a try. I chose the Victoria Sandwich (shrimp and smoked salmon) because I felt the beer battered shrimp and fries would be, well, fried. First, my sandwich was EXCELLENT. Juicy, grilled shrimp, smoked salmon, spinach leaves, red bell peppers, on a soft roll. My friend got the Shrimp and Chips. Guinness beer battered (and I mean lightly battered) golden fried shrimp (they were fried so lightly, the looked grilled with specks of batter) and seasoned fries that were soft and delicious. ONE OF THE BEST TRUCK MEALS YOU WILL EVER HAVE! I guarantee it…

Welcome Addition to the L.A. Truck Scene. I have to admit, I’m always a bit nervous about eating sushi from a food truck. After reading about the background of Shrimp Pimp on their web site however, I felt it was worth a try. I’m glad I gave Shrimp Pimp a shot as it’s become one of my favorite food trucks on the L.A. scene. Though I haven’t had opportunity to try a variety of menu items I did enjoy the Drunken Shrimp Taco. The marinated shrimp is delicious and pairs nicely with the various toppings. Fish and Chips are also a great menu selection. The spice on the Shoestring Fries is amazing and unfortunately becomes the highlight of the selection against the comparatively tame flavor of the fish batter. Still, the portion is large and there’s no denying that there’s premium fish fillets used in place of what could easily have been inferior alternatives. Highly recommend Shrimp Pimp, am looking forward to trying more from the menu!
