The service here sucks. After about 10 minutes of being seated and not even having our drink order taken, we left, something we don’t do often. There’s always a super long line here in this tiny crowded row of benches. If they’re understaffed, it should be worthwhile for the owners to hire more staff. Definitely not worth the wait.

The previous reviewer talked about how bad the service was for him at this IHOP. this is a real shame, because our family has been going to this IHOP for many years and the staff have been fantastic. they remember my kids, fuss over them appropriately, make comments like ‘oh, i remember when they were so little!’. one server in particular, amy, engages her tables in conversation – everything from what to see in the burbank area to making helpful suggestions about what kids might like to eat. also, many of the servers and other staff have been at this location for the 5+ years we’ve been coming here. given the turnover in this industry, esp in low-end restaurants, i think that says something for the quality of the management.oh – and the food? typical IHOP, no more, no less. our favorite dishes right now: new york cheesecake pancakes, cinna stack pancakes, country omelette (try it made as a scramble), kids menu funny face pancake (chocolate).
Mediocre food; awful waiting staff. Where do I start. I’ve been to this place so many times but probably won’t return. The coffee and food are just okay but what tuned me off was the service and fighting witnessed with the staff at the Burbank location. A woman made a derogatory (and racial) comment about a co-worker calling in sick and I was right there sitting down within hearing distance of her outrageous behavior. It was early and there were only a few customers in the restaurant. Regardless, there’s no reason for a woman to behave like this in public. While she was bad mouthing someone, I waited for 15 minutes before getting my meal ordered. She had time to vent about a co-worker but no time to take my order. I didn’t leave much of a tip — and won’t go back anytime soon.
