It’s a steakhouse, and a damn fine one. I typically start the Morton’s Salad, with no anchovies and served in a larger-than-normal plate, to allow me to move it around.The double-cut filet mignon is always strong. As for sides, the macaroni and cheese is an indulgence you MUST have at least once in life, preferably more. Their spinach sauteed in garlic is very nice as well. I typically order it without mushrooms.
Why the low score? This place is great!. My boyfriend and I went on Valentine’s day 2008. It was our first time at any Morton’s.They gave long stemmed roses to all the females who came in for dinner.We started with the Shrimp Alexander which is just a basic panko crusted shrimp with drawn butter. The shimp were cooked beautifully, they were very large, and tasted wonderful with the butter.Their steak was delicious. We both had the cajun ribeye and we both agreed that it’s the first decent steak we’ve had since we’ve moved to LA.We shared the garlic mashed potatoes – which was probably the only downfall to the meal. They weren’t very well seasoned and they didn’t have a very strong garlic taste.We ended the meal with the Raspberry souffl with fresh whipped cream and it was very delicious.
