Boooo oh wellWe ordered like 10 orders of salmon sushi, 3 of albacore and a couple of other things.We experienced GReat, Fast serviceCleanReasonable prices.I believe all the sushi we ordered came out to be about $45Good sushi
What Happened?. I haven’t been to Octopus for some time, what went wrong? It used to be ok for the prices, inexpensive but acceptable; but my last lunch there was horrible..My co-worker ordered a chirashi bowl, with came with two decks. Very impressive, we thought. It turned out they used tons of non-edible leaves as its base, and pieces of bad quality sashimi on top. The other bowl was for rice. My 3-items lunch combo was not any better. Thin sliced beef cooked with some very salty sauce; few pieces of sashimi were tasteless. Luckily I ordered the grilled salmon without sauce which turned out ok. Both of us didn’t like our lunch.I will definitely write off Octopus on my list.19 Apr, 2009Good Sushi, Good Price. I went to Octopus two days in a roll. I had a combo lunch with 3 items on Friday. Tempura and Sashimi were good; Teriyaki Beef was just ok, I think they over-used meat tenderizer.I went there again on Saturday with my mom. She had a combo dinner, Teriyaki Salmon and Tempura were good but Tonkatsu Pork Cutlet was bad (too dry and thin). I got some half-priced Sushi (yellowtail, salmon and spicy albacore), they were excellent in quality and quantity. The regular priced Sweet Shrimp Sushi was outstanding.We got attentive service in both visits. The ambiance is nice. Very good deal for good sushi. btw, take your mom out for dinner, you’ll make her the happiest mom in the world.
