Small fish portions. We had a table of 4 people who ordered: Clam Chowder, Fish and Chips (Pollack) x2 and, Salmon.The Chowder was the best of the order. It had a nice consistency, not too thick or watery, and the clams (although not abundant) were tender.The Fish and Chips were a little disappointing. Although fresh, they were more like fish nuggets of about 1 inch pieces. I was expecting more of an English style of fish and chips with 1 large fish fillet.The french fries were very good. Nice size, cooked perfectly, and properly salted.The Salmon was a very small portion of 2 of the smallest fillets I ever saw. They were more like 2 small trout size fillets. Even though we ordered them cooked medium-rare, they were grilled slightly over cooked which made them dry. Overcooking was probably due to the fact that they were so thin. I viewed other customers orders and saw that all of the fish orders were a bit small. The cashier said that all orders are weighed before cooking at 8 oz. I find that hard to believe. Fish doesn’t shrink like hamburger patties when cooked.
Rocky’s is THE BEST!!. I have been a steady customer of Rocky’s since the day he opened. I have never heard any one say anything less than raves about the food, service, options, menu, and staff. If you haven’t tried Rocky’s yet, you really need to soon 🙂 It is the best, fastest, fish in Burbank!!!! I know you will be very happy and become a long time customer too.
