Lunch Special. They have a great lunch special with rice, salad and entree for $6.75. Plenty of food. Might be the best deal in California! Kang Ped chicken had great spice, fresh bamboo and a tasty curry gravy. Looks like it was originally a house that has been converted to a restaurant. Friendly servers.

Good food despite what you see outside. You can drive by this place and almost miss it. If you see it you may want to keep driving. It looks like a a shack and a bit messy in the landscaping. You eat in a patio-like area or in a very small room inside. Usually the space inside is full so the outdoor area is a must. The service is slow but the wait staff is friendly. About the food, it’s delicious and what it lacks in decor is made up partially by the quality of the meal itself. I’ve heard the family that owns it lives behind the restaurant. One complaint I have is you can sometimes go there and the staff is a bit overwhelmed. One recent time I ordered a dish — and 20 minutes later the waiter came by apologizing that they won’t have time to make it.

The easiest, quickest, cheapest Thai you will ever find in the LA area. You can get the vegetable curry bowl for around 4 or 5 bucks and the portion is huge! Make sure to get it extra spicy and ask for rice.
