  Mediocre food and overpriced.. The Mrs. and I ended up there, by chance. We were looking for a bite before a movie and stepped in. It was Saturday evening, just after 8 pm.As we did not plan on a full dinner, we only ordered two appetizers, a fried calamari and some baked Brie and roasted garlic toast.The calamari was chewy and the baked Brie toast was very plain. Nothing to write home about. Both were overpriced, for my taste. For these two appetizer plates and a glass of house wine, we ended up paying just over $40 + service. Definitely too much.On the brighter side of things, I must say that the service was very accommodating and nice. People eating at adjacent tables, looked like they were enjoying themselves. Maybe we just picked the wrong dishes.

  Camarillo’s best kept secret. Giovanni and his staff are so accommodating. Great food, great bar.

  Parking Lot Dining. If your idea of a romantic Italian dinner is over paying for ok food and dining in a parking lot, then this place is for you.Camarillo is strip mall hell and this place just emphasizes it. If you choose to sit out doors you literally get to bask in the orange glow of the parking lot lamps over head.The food is just ok. Nothing bad, nothing great. I still think Ottavios is better pound for pound.
