This place used to be super bomb and it’s been steadily declining I’d say since 2004 or 5. It’s now under new management or owners and the last two times I went my burritos were not really good. I will give it one more shot after coming here for 10 years. But seriously, last chance.
Camarillo Taco’s. Simply this was a good place to eat….cheap,, fast,, but most of all the taco’s were tasty,,,,real tasty,,, flavor of the meat came through nicely not much of a bite from the onion’s with a nice finish of the cilantro…..theres a small salsa bar with chips in front of the counter..(small) chips were ok and salsa was not bad…..when in town again will be having lunch here again…..
Good, Cheap Food. If you’re looking for a romantic little place to have a Mexican meal, this isn’t your place. There’s a jukebox that comes to life spontaneously every ten minutes or so to blare some Mexican tune at impressive volume levels. It’s a strictly utilitarian decor. But the food is good and inexpensive. For $3.50 you can get the Big Taco Plate – which is, more or less, a big soft shell taco with rice and beans. There’s a tortilla chip bar with pico de gallo and salsa to round out the meal. Try the horchata – it’s refreshing if nothing particularly noteworthy. The food here is simple and authentic. If you’re looking for gobs of cheddar cheese melted over massive amounts of sauce drowning a withered enchilada, this is not your place. They have a variety of meats to choose from, and sides are basic rice & beans and maybe some shredded iceberg lettuce. Their super nacho plate is a good sized plate covered with tortilla chips, your choice of meat, guacamole and a *sprinkling* of traditional Mexican queso fresco. I order mine without beans or sour cream, so I’m not sure if those are standard ingredients or not. You can get a beer here as well, if that’s something you need or want with your lunch. They’re open late, which is convenient in a smaller town where lots of other places close early.
Can you say burrito?. Great al pastor burritos
