This was the best Pizza House in Canoga Park since the mid 50’s. My family personally Knew Bruno’s entire family and they knew ours. In fact coming into Bruno’s pizzeria at the time was like coming home. Bruno made you feel at home and was always cheerful and talkative. Sadly after Bruno became to old to continue the business. His sons didn’t seem interested in keeping the family tradition. Bruno trusted someone that used to come in as a customer and sold him the business. This person promised Bruno he would not change the recipe or anything to keep everything to do with the menu original. Sadly that wasn’t the case and within 2-3 years the business failed when Bruno left. This was the greatest pizza house in the entire San Fernando Valley. I met up with Bruno personally one day a year before he passed away. He told me he was hoping I would of come in to visit him at his pizza house to sell the business to me instead. To this day I regret not going to Brunos when I was in my early twenties. I was going to school and working at the time. I would of kept up the tradition as best I could of for Bruno being one of the nicest and sweetest persons I had ever met in my life. My dad and Bruno served together in WWII. I will always miss Bruno and wished I could of known the recipe and where Bruno bought his pepperoni’s and sauce!
