Love the food. Not the prices. I hadn’t been here in about 3 months and noticed the prices on the menu had increased by about $4-$5. What was previously around $15, became $20+. I was not happy with this at all. Besides that, the food is very good. Would recommend this place for anybody in the capitola area willing to spend a little money!
I’ve been eating here for years and the food has always been consistently good. But last night was terrible. We ordered 4 different types of sushi and miso soup and the soup was salty and the sushi was flavorless. We left there feeling like we were ripped off. We went out to have a nice dinner and were so dissapointed. We won’t be back.
One of my top 5 favorites. I love this place. I have a favorite dish -spicy tuna hand roll, , a favorite drink – long island ice tea or basil gimlet, and a favorite server – Gade. I can count on all three being first rate every time I go there. I know there are quite a few really good Japanese restaurant in S.C, but Takara is consistently serving up great food and great service.
Luncheon quality has gone way down. The service is still great, but the food they served was not fresh and much worse than three months ago. What happened?
