  • Great Beer Now!

Park Hyatt Aviara is a high- end hotel and with all high end hotels come equally high- end food service. These places of lodging often have multiple restaurants to suit customer needs and/or for specific meals of the day. And the place for an excellent morning or early afternoon meal at this Park Hyatt is the California Bistro. A recent beercation event led me to California bistro one morning in search of a great kick- start to a day destined to be overflowing with fine brew. Upon entering the hotel and restaurant, I was immediately impressed. The inside has a certain level of elegance, but doesnt take things too far and still has enough of a casual vibe that you feel comfortable. Hotel guests visit here the most, but anyone can stop by for a morning meal and casual dress is perfectly fine. Many who dine at California Bistro for breakfast will go for the breakfast buffet and I, too, was tempted to make this my choice for a morning meal. But I finally decided instead to go for something on the menu and my choice was the California omelet with crisp, well- seasoned potatoes. The food was market fresh and about as well- prepared and delicious as anyone could ask for. The beverages were possibly even more impressive. They served a juice of the day and other beverages and you could immediately tell that they juice was fresh squeezed and pure. I honestly dont know how you could make fruit juice any more perfect except perhaps by adding a shot of vodka. I could easily sip on the juices all day and drink them with any meal. The dining area at California Bistro is large and there is plentiful seating. They feature round tables that are big enough to accommodate large groups or families. If you prefer outdoor dining, you have that option also. They offer wifi and well so that you can snap pictures, share via social media, and be the envy of all your friends. California Bistro is a quiet place free from televisions and other distractions. The management wants you to focus on the food and the company around you and they easily succeed at this goal. This restaurant is only open until around 2pm, so you need to make sure to arrive on time for breakfast or brunch. If you love freshly prepared food and drink, California Bistro is a place you dont want to miss so set your alarm clock, arrive early, and feast on some of the best breakfast food around. greatbeernow.com

Great lunch I had here, ordered the chicken burger with a salad, meat was tender and soft wasn’t too filing, also had a Cadillac magarita which was amazing to complement the meal. Service was suberp and in point, very interactive and open to suggesting things of the menu. Enjoyed the experience throughout

We have been here a few times for the Friday night seafood buffet & just love it. It’s not cheap, but worth it. Great service & ambiance too.

Gluten Free Buffet. I’m so excited to report that the California Bistro is now offering an entirely gluten free buffet the first Saturday of every month- beginning December 5, 2009. The price is $29 per person and it includes a salad buffet and a hot buffet with meats and gluten free pasta, etc. And of course, there is also a wide array of decadent gluten free desserts. You can’t miss it! Especially if you are gluten free and running out of safe and delicious options in the area that also include an excellent dining experience.
