Chicken tamal was pretty good. Cheese enchilada was kind of crappy, my cheese wasn’t even melted all the way, while my daughter’s was so hot it melted the bottom of the to-go box. Don’t even try to cut with the plastic knife they give you!

What Every SoCal Taco Shop Aspire To.. This is a second location of the famous Rudy’s in Solana Beach…and is the best straight forward Mexican you can get in La Costa, and perhaps anywhere north of Solana Beach through Oceanside. The carne asada is 1st rate and the chicken is all white meat. Portions are more than generous. The setting is clean and unpretentious, eat indoors or on the patio. Frankly, if you dont like the Mexican food here you probably shouldnt bother eating Mexican food ever again.
