From cocktails to salads to entrees to desserts (an airy cheesecake that made me rethink the whole genre). My partner’s came shelled but intact–a neat trick that turned the usually messy (and sometimes frustrating) delicacy into a unique treat. Atmosphere is elegant, tables are spaced far enough apart to allow quiet conversation, and the wait staff manages just the right amount of understated grace.
I have been planning to go to AOC for sometime now. I finally got there this week and enjoyed. Good meal. The overall quality of food, service and atmosphere all worked. The history of the building was fascinating
After all this years @suzannegoin AOC is still one of the best restaurants in town and has the best cocktails all created by @christiaanrollich and an amazing wines for all budgets as well.An incredible market driven menu served by knowledgeable waiters in one of the best looking restaurants all at very affordable prices that encourage you to order many dishes and eat family style. If you’re a fan of the Hollywood Bowl next year their parent company Lucques Group @lucquesla will be taking over all of the food services. Lovely sunny courtyard, perfect brunching place with friends. Loved everything about this place, on a sunny saturday morning the best seats in the house are no doubt in their cute courtyard surrounded by leafy walls. For brunch, i tried one of their recommended non alcoholic drinks with cucumber and lime and jalapeo. It was perfect just the right amount of freshness punctuated by a slight hint of spice at the end. Their famous chicken and waffles is a must, the cornmeal waffles are by far the best I’ve ever had, so crispy on the outside, the fried chicken pieces are succulent and tender, though i must admit i do actually prefer the rusticness of roscoes fried chicken. The aoc signature brioche with prosciutto and a fried egg is the perfect brunch item. Rich without ever ever being too heavy, everything goes well together and that brioche was just perfect.
Always a great meal. You can never go wrong w AOC…food is excellent, great ambiance, incredible service.
LOVE IT. I absolutely love this place but I also love small plates. Everything they make is very fresh and tasty. I love their bacon wrapped dates and their fish small plates are amazing. Maybe it’s because I like smaller portions but more variety but it’s really one of my favorite places to dine with friends. The ambiance is nice and comfortable and I highly recommend this place.
Fine food, Service could improve. Nice platters, good and knowledgeable waiter, nice ambiance. Don’t show up a minute before six even though they accept reservations at six. How to time this with LA traffic is beyond me. The door stays closed and you are rudely advised to kill 10 minutes somewhere else (which quite a number of guests had to suffer). Don’t choose the cheese platters, the cheeses are excellent, the quality is excellent, the portions are damn-right mean. Just charge more but give enough to put on 2 crackers.
