Good Cobb salad!. To my amazement, i had a rather good business luncheon at breeze restaurant, located inside the century plaza hotel. i didn’t know what to expect because food in century city is simply not good….however, my colleague was raving about the food at breeze. well, it turns out breeze produces rather good food…..our entourage rolled up to the hotel and there was a myriad of tour buses and uber sexy automobiles in the auto court. did i mention there were uber sexy auto’s?? lol. also, don’t judge the hotel by the ancient exterior as the interior is quite nicely built out. the restaurant is in the southern portion of the hotel with nice views out to the courtyard…..that i might add was beautiful on such a sunny and fair day.we were seating in a extra large booth and immediately presented with menu’s. the server was named paula and she was fantastic, didn’t miss a thing and took our drink, food, etc orders with great ease and enthusiasm. as we ordered drinks and chatted, i happened to scan the room. my!! there were a plethora of beautiful people in the room……i guess thats what happens when you within walking distance to CAA. it seemed as though the restaurant was brimming with the movers and shakers of the entertainment industry, along with their clients. quite an interesting locale for people watching to say the least.forgot to mention that breeze restaurant is a californian and sushi joint. quite interesting combo. half the group ordered the sushi platter whereas the other half ordered salads. my meal fell into the latter as i ordered a cobb salad, lightly tossed in their signature vinaigrette. to my delight, the salad was quite good!! the chef used the perfect amount of dressing (he read my mind i guess) and the salad was overflowing with cheddar, bleu cheese, bacon, chicken and avocado. i can say, the cobb salad is definitely one of the better salads that i have had in this fair city of ours. then again, mmmmm to bacon.i can’t vouch for the sushi but the fish looked quite fresh and everyone that ordered the sushi combo devoured every last scrap, so i imagine the sushi was quite good. as a matter of fact one person used his fingers to eat every last remnant of rice on his plate. lol.i’ve gotta give it up to the lunch host because the meal was very satisfying and has chipped away at my stigma that century city does not contact good food.

The food was satisfying, but not what I’d consider exceptional. That said, I’d be willing to come here again if in the neighborhood. (I especially enjoyed the Natura eco-friendly mineral water and wish more restaurants would offer it.)
A Quiet Meal. This is a great place to go when you want a quiet dinner and comfy booths. Great cracker basket. Good food, although I’ve never had anything sensational here.
