Leave customers waiting. After a matinee symphony performance recently my husband and I went downtown for a cocktail and appetizers. The door for crush we’re open so in we went. After a 25 minute wait at the bar where we were neither greeted nor served even though a bar man was right in front of us slicing lemons we left. No one addressed us as we left either.We will not be back
Honey, Worth the Money. If you want good seating, be sure to make a reservation. The wait staff was very friendly and was always around when needed. Don’t be fooled by their specials, although very delicious, the appetizer special we ordered was more expensive than our entrees. The price overall was about the same as any typical Italian chain restaurant; but, quality of the food was above and beyond. We fell in love with the artichoke appetizer and can’t wait to go back to try even more dishes.
Pricy but good dinner. Tonight, my wife and I enjoyed a great dinner at Crush for a routine ‘date’ night. We were seated in a decent location and the servers and waiters were very attentive. After drinks and bread, we settled on the ‘Aged Filet Mignon’. When it arrived, the portions were typical of a higher class fine dining restaurant. The meat was incredibly tender and full of deep, rich, beefy flavor. Definitely one of the better Filets we’ve had in a while. The layered potatos and vegetables were also full of flavor and complimented the Filets. Taste wise, the food was superb this trip to Crush and again, the service was good. The only down side to tonight’s dinner and drinks was a very heafty bill.19 Jun, 2011I’ve had mixed opinions. The last meal I had was fantastic, Linguini & clams. Service was good with a good table by the window. Prior meals were not as satisfactory. Overall, decent restaurant but a bit pricy for the quality.
Crush had small portions, lousy seating arrangements, and their servers were very stuck up when I called them out for seating us in the corner, while they had open table in the middle of the floor. But on a good note, drinks were very stiff.
Always terrible service. The food is marginal and the patio is awesome. It’s such a same that the service is so bad. I’ve never talked to someone who has said they have had a good server. I’d like the people at crush to know their in chico because they obviously don’t know that. Your idea of fine dinning sucks. The only time we saw our server was when she brought the bill. We tracked a bus boy down to order appetizers and got our drinks ourselves at the bar. LAME.
Expensive and Salty. I ate here about a year and a half ago and haven’t gone back for a few reasons. A friend of mine ordered a chicken salad and the chicken ended up being extremely salty. Another friend and I split a pizza which wasn’t too bad but was expensive especially for the serving size. We haven’t been back since.
Chico’s best fine dining. This is the only restaurant in Chico that wouldn’t close in a week in San Francisco. Great food, great people, wonderful ambiance, and priced to keep the riffraff out. –Ax
