A true gem–miles above the typical Chico college food fare–this is the real deal.Best restaurant in Chico regardless of price, a glorious Osteria, competing with the top West Coast fare from San Francisco to Seattle. Much of the produce is locally sourced from basically across the street at the local growers market (which by the way puts our grower’s market in Ashland OR to shame). Everything is delicious, well prepared, using the best ingredients. The wood fired oven flaming at 700+ degrees imparts a flavor you just can’t achieve at home (guess we need that pizza oven in the backyard…).I ordered the lovely Boquerones and the special of the evening which was Cioppino (tomato, fennel, prawns, mussels and salsiccia). Nice glasses of vino too. If I had to nit pick–my only criticism/wish would be that the bread that was served with the cioppino had taken a quick pass through the wood fired oven with maybe some local virgin olive oil and course sea salt. Other than that, you can’t go wrong dining here–Molto Delizioso!
