Lunch Menu. I only eat here for lunch between classes. It is quick and very cheap – although being a college student this is a great thing, it also hurts when it comes to the quality of food. I used to order off the special menu but was a bit disappointed. I have had their orange chicken and their lemon chicken – I couldn’t tell the difference. Their sesame chicken wasn’t that great either, it was very sweet and lacked the sesame flavor I was hoping for. I have also had their broccoli and beef which was fairly good and the Mongolian beef which although is advertised as spicy I felt it was very sweet. The egg fried rice lacks egg and overall fried rice qualities. It more so comes out like steam rice that has been briefly mixed with egg and a bit of soy sauce. There are however some great things that Peeking does – their soups are very good, the sweet and sour soup served with lunch surprisingly hits the tongue perfectly, and I really enjoy their chow-mien which comes out in a generous portion for $5. For a quick lunch it’s not bad.
