The real deal.. I’ve been eating here (and at the previous location on Walnut) for over 20 years. It has the best Calamari I can find anywhere. The same is true for the Tiramisu and homemade olives. They wouldn’t serve Spumoni for over a year because they couldn’t find one good enough to serve. Sometimes the bread is a little dry. That’s my only complaint. The Canoli tastes just like the one I had in the Italian part of Boston. I have enjoyed every dish I have ever had there.
What happened to the Cohasset location?. Nonetheless, I’m happy that the one downtown is still open! It’s tucked away on Main Street near Park Ave, but it’s definitely worth the visit. The owner came out and talked to us and was very friendly. Although I don’t really know much about authentic Italian food, what is being served here felt different (in a good way) than the typical Italian food I’ve had around town.
