Contemporary setting similar to a Chipotle or Qdoba. The taco trio of carnitas that I tried was decent, but it is not a good sign for their overall business if the Chinese buffet restaurant next door is packed with Hispanic customers . I was the lone diner for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. There were no bakery items in the display case. This business provides good quality fresh food, but the formula and feel to this place is too much like a wanna be franchise for me. Still worth a try.
Hidden Gem. Tucked into the corner of a shopping mall in Chino is a delicious family owned/run eatery serving a different kind of Mexican food – brown rice, black beans, salad with grilled meats – with menu choices like e-dogs (hot dog with black beans topped with cabbage & salsa), grilled shrimp tacos, and the lightest tortilla chips I’ve had in a long time…. Don’t get me started on the homemade sweet choices – empanada, cheese cake, cookies, cake pops. YUMMY!!!
