If you like gargantuan portions of classic American fare, this is the place. You won’t leave hungry! It’s not the kind of food I like — hence the low rating. My husband, OTOH, dug right in.
Willy. Best biscuits and gravy in the world! The sirloin steak and eggs is also one of the best breakfasts I ever had and the sausage omelet is not to be believed. Very homey and welcoming but not fancy at all (that is good). Saturday and Sunday mornings the place is packed and the wait is long. After breakfast tour one of the aviation museums for a treat!
Never Changes. Being Dutch, we used to come here fairly regularly as kids. I moved away almost two decades ago, but came back recently for a visit (this time, with kids of my own). The community has changed quite a bit over that time, and there are far fewer Dutchies than there used to be (fewer cows, too!), but Flo’s hasn’t changed a bit. Still serves up some of the best pancakes and omelets I’ve ever had…anywhere. It’s *possible* that conclusion is biased somewhat by nostalgia, but really, it’s very good. Worth the trip if you happen to be out that way!
