My first encounter with The Pub was at the Yelping Through The Decades event back in December of 2015 and it was there I got to try some of their delicious pork belly bites. Almost a year later, I finally stepped foot into their gastropub for what turned out to be one great night.Upon reaching the parking lot, you can hear the music from the live band playing. The Pub gives a locals bar vibe due to its location and the surrounding neighborhood. Me and a couple of my friends entered and was seated right away by the hostess. Once sat, a complimentary bowl of buttery duck fat popcorn was placed on the table while we made choices for drinks and food.Decisions for plates were decided so we placed orders for the chile verde poutine, duck chorizo chilaquiles and the rosemary lemon chicken as well as a round of beers. We got to relax while sipping our beers to the tune of old school/modern day blues, jazz and rock & roll from the band who was performing. My friend is a blues fan and this was his birthday gathering so the music was perfect. A short while after, the plates had arrived. The chile verde fries was a pretty hefty portion and was loaded with pork. The meat appeared to be only on top but was all throughout the fries. I really enjoyed the sauce and wished there had been more of it on the fries with all the meat. Next time I’ll ask for extra. The duck chorizo chilaquiles was pure awesomeness and was the best dish of the night. I’m not sure if it was the chorizo or the sauce that gave a small hint of sweet but whatever gave it, it was delicious in combination with all the fixings especially the egg yolk. Last was the rosemary lemon chicken. This wasn’t anything to write home about as it was just lightly marinated chicken breast that I didn’t get much of the lemon from. The romesco sauce added the flavor however and the veggies were pretty good. This is a plate I’d go for if I’m looking to eat lite/healthy.We were too stuffed to try dessert but never too stuffed for more alcohol so we ended the visit with a round of Jack Daniel shots. Great way to end any night or a way to keep the night going lol. With that being said, The Pub is a great place to add to my list of good gastropubs. The food is good, the beers are ice cold and the band plays great music. Looking forward to trying out their brunch menu.Visit Date 10/22/2016

Great vibe in the 909. The Pub At Chino Hills has all the fit and finish of a high end franchise chain pub, but the locale and intimacy of a corner pub. The service was very experienced and friendly. The big hit here is the food, with a menu and cuisine more likely to be found in the likes of gastro pubs in Riverside or Claremont. The dishes were excellently prepared and nicely presented. The bar has a nice selection of cocktails and craft beers. A great place to stop in, off the 71 and Pine Ave. Kudos to our server Cena for selling us on this place.

Dinner at The Pub. We patronized new business specially in our own neighborhood. Great service and food. This was our first time here. We had the fried pork belly appetizer which was good. The wife had the Pub burger which she love and she said she would order again. I had the fish and chips. Now my fries were great. But my fish was soaked in grease. It was too greasy that the batter fell apart because it was soaked in grease. I did not care for the type of fish they used. The taste was bland but it could be because it was still dripping with grease. I would not order that again. I would go back and give them another try. When I do, I would just stick to the burgers.
