Good tasting solid dishes. You can’t go wrong with this thai restaurant if your in the East Lake area. Tom Yum soup had the right amount of taniness and loaded with veggies. The red curry was very flavorful and satisfying. It has the same menu as its sister restaurant in down town Chula Vista but this one is run by the owners themselves. The decor is nice and inviting and the servers are knowledgeable. Vegetarian friendly.
NOt near as good as the 3rd st location. We went in for the lunch special and were the only one’s in the place. Very disappointed, as we like the sister restaurant on 3rd st. The dressing on the salad was even bad. The little spring rolls were cold and soggy and my green curry only OK. Beautiful restaurant and we love Thai food and Chula Vista/Bonita/Eastlake could really use a good one, but this is not it. Service was crummy too – only us in the restaurant and we had to ask for our water to be refilled and even to get our check. Don’t waste your money.
Very nice quaint little spot in Eastlake. Wife and I enjoyed our food very much she had the Pad Thai noodles with chicken and shrimp which I tasted and was a bit sweet for me, (but I don’t like sweet with my savory) while I had the spicy fried rice with chicken. I like that they ask you how spicy on a 1-10 scale and 7 was good for me, just enough heat and you still got the essence of all the other flavors in the dish. There could have been more meat in my plate, but I’m a fairly large guy (235 lbs) so I’m greedy like that, but the plates will more than satisfy. If you insist on appetizers share one, we had the spring rolls which were very light but very flavorful, my wife said she could just eat the dipping sauce on its own but again it was sweet to me so opted for just soy sauce to dip. Overall for this is a very good Thai restaurant and the prices are reasonable! We will be frequenting this restaurant a lot as my wife loves Asian cuisine.
Not bad, above average, but nothing to write home about. The pad seew seemed bland actually. Portions were smaller than average and prices were higher than average. But, the only real Thai place on the area.
