Everythings wonderful. We have liked everything we have ordered. The wonton soup is some of the best. The portions are very big and is enough to take home for later. The waiters have always been very nice.

New fav! We were looking fo…. New fav!We were looking for Chinese food close to home…most reviews were several years old, so we were skeptical about what to expect. The place from the outside looked closed (about 6pm Tuesday). We went in and immediately we were pleasantly surprised by the quiet warm feel. There was one other couple and we were seated quickly and greeted with a smile. Without asking the waiter brought tea and lemon water, along with sugared wanton strips. We order the chef’s special dinner figuring we would just try whatever they decided to serve, with appetizers, soup, and two main dishes included. We ended up getting enough food to serve 4, and spent less on the bill than if we ordered everything individually. The service was very fast, the food was hot and fresh. And best of all it tasted great. We liked it so much that we ordered extra for lunch the next day. We loved this place, we will defiantly come back19 Mar, 2014New fav!

Great portions and Prices!. I really enjoy ordering from New Shanghai. Their employees are always courteous and their prices are great for the amount of food you receive. Plus free delivery within a 3 mile radius. Score!

Don’t Go here we like it quiet. We have been taking ourselves and local friends to New Shanghai for years. Visiting out of town people always want to go here. It is a nice quiet place with good food.Orange Shrimp is the BEST.Don’t go to this restaurant and get one of our favorite dinning spot all crowded up.

This restaurant is AVERAGE for Chinese food in Sacramento and the surrounding areas. We ordered: Wor Won Ton Soup: Vegetables are very fresh and not over cooked. The pork was not seasoned and had an unappetizing color. The won tons were well stuffed but the filling tasted a bit old. The broth had good flavor but was a bit greasy.Spring Rolls: The vegetable filling was fresh but overall it was very greasy.Fried Crab Stuffed Cream Cheese Won Tons: it had less than a teaspoon of filling and we couldn’t tell if there was any crab in it or not. The mustard that they served with it was nice and flavorful with a punch of horseradish. The sweet-n-sour sauce was weak and a bit runny, it tasted OK.Sweet-N-Sour Chicken: Average. The breading was standard and the sauce was OK. A bit skimpy on the portion.BBQ Pork Egg Fu Young: Generous portion. The eggs were fluffy with plenty of fresh veggies. Gravy was dark but not too heavy or greasy. The best dish.Mu Shi Vegetable: Generous portion. It had nice flavor, and the sauce was good. The pancakes were pre-made and reheated. The filling was one of the better dishes.BBQ Pork Chow Fun: The sauce was burnt and the dish was greasy. Overall, the food was very inconsistent. The prices were reasonable and the place was clean; but, with all the choices out there, it’s doubtful we will go back.

The best potstickers and wonton soup! Cheap and excellent on a rainy day.
