Where can you get Indian Samosas in Clairemont? Bombay Coast!Rest assured they won’t actually be like the Indian samosas but some Americanised version, and it is fine, as long as it is samosas!Best deal here is to come for lunch. Quantity is enough for 2 if you buy extra nan or roti. Bombay coast is good, wine is fairly priced.
Very good value for the amount of food you get. I recommend getting the combo plattes which are essentially thali’s. The combos are less than $12 and come with rice, naan, coleslaw and your choice of 2 or 3 entries depending on the combo you choose. The restaurant is in a mall, take out type store, but they do their best to make it feel like a sit down restaurant. One big downside is that the food is not as fresh as you would expect and the workers dont hide it with the fact that they say all the dishes on the menu are available for sampling prior to ordering. Vegetarian and vegan friendly.
New experience. Honestly, this was the first time I’d ever eaten Indian food – what a treat – one of my new favorites. It was our usual weekly evening out with the 6 of us – not new for everyone. The service was great the guy helped us pick out what to have. AND, they offer samples – that’s a plus if you don’t know anything about this kind of food. We enjoyed ourselves – plenty of food, tasted fresh and the sauces were a plus. Would I recommend it? Absolutely!
