Nice Surprise. Honestly, we weren’t quite sure what to expect when we were first seated. We started with a cup of Hot and Sour soup which was served with crispy wontons, followed by the BBQ Pork appetizer. Both were good and a good start to what was about to follow. We ordered the Peking Beef, which was lightly (dusted) breaded and served with bell peppers and onion. The sauce was perfect – not too sweet and not too hot. We also ordered the General Tso’s chicken with white meat chicken. Again, the meat was lightly breaded and fried to perfection. Seriously, it was some of the most flavorful, moist and pure breast of chicken (no gristle or fat) that I have ever had. I will return just for this chicken alone. I ordered this dish xxxxxxxxx spicy. Even though I could have handled twice the spice, the sauce was not too sweet and had a great flavor. This place is a 15 minute drive on the freeway for us, and was well worth the trip. And then there’s the service. Hands down, the absolutely best service we have had anywhere in town. The ladies are absolutely wonderful. As for authenticity, I believe there is more authentic out there, but bottom line, this is not so overly Americanized that it turned us away. The dishes were not greasy and again, were made with the freshest of ingredients. We will return to try more of what they have to offer.
