Le Pain Quotidien embodies the spirit and ambiance of the Claremont community, in a quaint bakery, coffee, breakfast and sandwich cafe. The fare is light, healthy, and creative, with a European flair. Our Avocado Toast and Smoked Salmon Omlette were delightful and made for a relaxing and satisfying breakfast experience. Exploring the surrounding shops is an added plus, if you have the time.
A fancy restaurant for breakfast/brunch. If you want to sit down, relax, enjoy the weather while eating your beautifully plated breakfast, this is the place. Not to mention the food tastes great also!
Remarkably Good For A Chain. Le Pain Quotidien is a nice little European style restaurant that serves up some very good food. Just reading their menu is an interesting experience because there are lots of small plates/appetizers/soups/salads/tartines, etc. that are tempting to say the least. We went there for my sisters birthday. For a small first course, the three of us shared a goat cheese and honey tartine. It was delicious. Our entres were the grilled chicken Cobb salad for my sister, gazpacho soup for her husband and wild mushroom lasagna for myself. All three dishes were terrific. We had room for desert, so I had the pistachio tart, my sister had a chocolate mouse concoction and her husband had the coconut macaroons. Two out of three were winners, but my tart was dry and uninteresting. I only ate about a third of it. Still, my overall impression of the place is that the food is first rate. This is especially surprising because its a national chain, albeit not a large one.
Great atmosphere and menu
Portions are small and it was expensive. The food needed seasoning. It’s more for the experience and location
Nice ‘n Pricey. From a culinary perspective, I would say it is excellent for bistro/cafe type setting. Menu is creative and unique, ingredients are very fresh, lots of options for vegetarians and omnivores alike. Nice salt and pepper grinders, also for sale at a reasonable price. Only drawback was that lunch for three adults and two teens ran right at $100.00 including nominal tip. The food was great, though! We each ordered a different dish or salad and shared. The quantity was a bit small for the price but you wouldn’t end up hungry if you at one of the entrees or a salad by yourself, not stuffed either. The salads dishes tended to be larger than the other menu items. Hope you enjoy, I’ll be going back, but prepared with a fatter wallet next time.Salud!
