Had an order of the Tom Yum Soup (~$12): Traditional hot and sour broth with lemongrass, kaffir lime leaf, mushroom topped with cilantro. Food was delicious, staff was ready-to-stay (at the restaurant – but nevertheless very patient about latecomers), and the ambiance was ornate.
A nice and hot soup was on my mind and Bronze Buddha seemed nice. And since we live in the vicinity, my husband and I decided to check it out last evening.I absolutely loved how they have done up the place. From the furniture to the cutlery to the wall hangings, it was all so beautiful. I was completely smitten. Our server was also very polite and pleasant. So to satiate my soup cravings, we settled for the TOM KHA SOUP and may I tell you it turned out to be beautiful. Ive always been a fan of coconut. Growing up in India I used to relish slurping coconut water from a young coconut sliced open in front of me by a machete yielding vendor. After sucking out every last refreshing drop, Id hand the coconut back so he could masterfully chop up the shell and scrape out the slippery young coconut flesh. So, its no wonder that I love Thai food and this soup in particular, because it really features the coconut milk front and center. The broth was perfect and the soup was spiced very well. For the mains, we ordered for the PINEAPPLE FRIED RICE which is very popular South Asian dish. I was a little skeptical in trying this one out but my husband assured me that I would like it and he was right. Golden grains of rice jeweled with chunks of juicy pineapple, cashews and currents served in a carved out pineapple with a taste that was heavenly, made me fall in love with this dish. I also tried the THAI ICED TEA which was perfect complement to our food especially on a hot day like yesterday. It was refreshing and sweet (thankfully not overly sweet). The quality of the food and the service was top notch! To sum it up, had a wonderful experience.
AWESOME. I live literally a block from here and have gone two or three times and the food is awesomel. The servers and owner are great. And the prices aren’t awful either. Good portion sizes you could order a couple different things and spilt them.
