On our way home from Los Angeles….. my hubby was getting hangry…. needed to find someplace quick. ( he turns into an ogre… little green shrek ears and all). This was a gem to find. Food was great and staff was awesome.
Can’t wait to go back. Like the website says, if youre not familiar with this part of Corona, you might have to put a little bit of extra effort into finding it the address is on Magnolia, but the Cowboy Surfer Grill is actually on the Ontario Avenue side of the Vons shopping center (and once you know that, finding the restaurant is a cynch). But trust me, itll be worth any extra trouble you maybe might have getting there. The service was friendly and everybodys orders arrived at our table fresh, hot, and cooked exactly as we wanted it. Ive heard that their breakfasts are outstanding, and I guess they even serve it all day, but we all went with lunch orders for our first time here. My Cowboy Surfer bacon burger was delicious that Caribbean Sauce is the bomb and the Bocephus pastrami burgers that half our table got totally silenced my usually noisy family since they were too busy eating to talk (and that NEVER happens). The onion rings were piping hot and tasty, and I think the hot and crispy-on-the-outside moist-on-the-inside steak fries I had have to have been some of the best in town. Were definitely ready to go back and check out the breakfast menu next, but I can already say that Cowboy Surfer Grill is going on the roster for us.
Breakfast on a Sunday morning. We have been here for more than 3 times now. Lets start with the food. The food is great and I would go back for the food. Today I am greatly disappointed with the OWNER of this place. We came here today on a Sunday morning and she had 1 server working. The server did everything she can but waiting on all the tables and this place is always crowded it is a shame. It took about 20 mins or more before she got around to us and take our order. My coffee was already cold by the time she took our order. The owner was too busy catering to her friends at the counter who by the way came in after we did. Our server was great. I still gave her a 20% tip.The owner should be a shame of herself staffing one server on a Sunday morning.07 May, 2011Great food and fast service
