A little bit of Havana in Corona. Stepping inside the doors of Mi Habana Cafe, I felt as though I had been transported to Havana, Cuba in the 1950’s. Articles and newsclips that I had seen and stories told about what Cuba was like in the pre-Castro days. My vision came to life as the decor and atmosphere transformed this little bit of Corona into an era long gone in Cuba. The food and service was excellent!
I read a review prior to coming here that sang high praise… It lived up to it. The arroz con pollo was great – the moist one – ropa vieja flavorful! Yuca appetizers should come with a savory sauce to accompany the flavor. Reasonably priced for what you get. Highly recommended.
Food is very good. Go!
Being from New Jersey, traveling to Miami to visit family, and a Cuban, I grew up with Cuban food all around me. Since moving to California 18years ago I have been searching for that home fealing. Have not been able to find it until Mi Habana Cafe. They have an extensive menu of Cuban goodness and pastries that gives Porto’s in Glendale a run for their money. They also have an $8 lunch special. The staff is friendly, and although not Cubans, except for the owner chef, have learned the intricate details of Cuban cuisine.
