The food was abysmal, disgustingly bland and done completely wrong. The Szechuan beef tasted nothing like what it’s supposed to taste, all the essential ingredients were substituted out by some cheaper versions of the materials. The orange chicken was almost all crust and no chicken. Pretty much none of the dishes were made correctly, nor did they taste good. Being Chinese myself, I really hate places that give Chinese food a bad representation, and this place is the epitome of that. Do not ever go there, would not recommend it to anyone, environment sucks, the price is way to high for this kind of junk, they deserve to be closed down

So good, I miss it.. I am temporarily exiled to Richmond VA for work, where apparently no one knows about Chinese food. China Gourment is one of the best Chinese restuarants around. I used to make the trek from Glendale all the way to Costa Mesa for their Chicken lo Mein, and pot stickers. Everything is good , I have ordered every chicken dish. China Gourmet is not a restuarant you go to for ambiance. It’s appropriated more like a fast food place.The service is nothing to write home about, but definately go for the food. I’ve sent everyone I know, and they now have a new fave Chinese place. I, however, get to miss it for another year. Perhaps I’ll plan my vacation around it.
True, not a dine spot, but definitely a place you want to eat at. Great food and flavor. Low cost for good food. Try the chicken with Veggies.
Good food good prices. Best Chinese I have had in a long time. Well seasoned not greasy or overcooked. Pipping hot even when delivered.
Food was okay. Nothing to rant and rave about…fast food Chinese not your authentic Chinese dine in spot.
