Really good Mexican food; Not my favorite margaritas however. Normally house margaritas go bad at restaurants because of cheap tequila or simply lack of alcohol. Here the pour was strong but the mix was not great. I’m not sure what it was made from but there was very little lime flavor–or any flavor beyond the tequila. I did LOVE my Chile Verde however. Fork tender, moist and full of flavor. Served with what seemed to me to be home made tortillas that were indicidually warmed in a skillet! ExcellentHard tacos were packed to bursting with fillings. Fajitas were a huge plate of meat but a little lacking on accoutrements. Complimentary chips were very good as were the hot, medium and green salsas available. The mild version was worse than dipping your chip in V8 juice. A very good meal!

Best Mexican in Costa Mesa. A classic restaurant my parents have been going to for ten’s of years. Their enchiladas are quite good as are their rice and beans. Their chips are GREAT!
Death by cheese. People seem to love this place because you get a ton of food all covered under a pound of cheese. This is old skool Mexican and it’s really just ok. The salsa they serve is like tomato sauce it is so bland. Go for the green salsa, it has a kick and is the best thing here. Quantity does not equal Quality. You get a lot of food, but it’s more than you or anyone needs. I’d rather see an increase in quality.
