Don’t Bother!. Don’t waste your time here. Better food at Norms!Stopped for a breakfast sandwhich at 8 AM on weekday. First indication I was in trouble, not one person in the place! Help Wanted sign on front door. One of two cooks tried to take order but didn’t have a clue. The other cook had trouble cracking the eggs. I ended up telling them when to flip the eggs, how to make my breakfast.Maybe other foods are good here, but breakfast sandwhich way to complicated for these guys.
The Best Hole in the Wall You’ll Find. I’ve been eating here for well over ten years. It is truly a gem. The service is always fast and efficient, the staff is friendly, the prices are fantastic, and they have a HUGE menu. Seriously – everything from authentic Mexican, seafood, burgers and fries, breakfast, teriyaki, you name it. And every single dish I’ve had here is wonderful. My favorite is the chicken quesadilla – HUGE and delicious. Comes with guac and sour cream. My favorite is the spicy red sauce from their salsa bar … I wish I could buy it! Portions of all meals are huge. The decor is…well…lacking, unless you like red booths and pink tables with Mexican soccer games blaring in the background. But dare I say that it adds to the ambience here? I find this place charming in the weirdest way.
Yum!. I grew up in Costa Mesa, and I have been eating at P K Burger since it was just a shack on the side of the road. Whenever I return to Southern California, P K Burger is always on my short list of food stops. Yum and E!
