First restaurant outing of the new year as well as first pizza of the new year. It’s been over a year since the last time I’ve had a Chicago style deep dish so the meal has been past due and Rance’s was the destination to knock that off my check list of eats.Me and my friends were greeted by the staff upon walking in and was sat right away. It was happy hour so beers were ordered almost instantly haha. We took a sec to go over the types of deep dishes they offered and couldn’t help but go with their pan pizza that’s prepared with caramelized cheese edges. For the toppings we chose pepperoni, sausage, Canadian bacon, and onions. Garlic cheese bread to share and a Caesar salad was also ordered while we waited for the pizza.I really enjoyed the garlic cheese breads, very cheesy and lots of garlic. The Caesar salad was decent as well. For the pizza, it was pretty good and different at the same time. This was due to it’s crust. The crust was similar to a croissant/pie crust, very flaky and buttery while maintaining a bit of crispiness. The taste took a little getting use to in my opinion. I don’t mean that in a bad a way, it’s just a flavor I’m not use to tasting when it comes to a pizza. Good crust nonetheless. All of it’s toppings and it’s sauce was great. The Pan pizza is a bit lighter on the sauce than the Stuffed pizza so I’ll be getting that one on my next visit plus the crust for the stuffed seems to be more on the traditional side.A couple of more beers were ordered during happy hour to wrap up the meal. Good service, food and drinks makes this worth visiting again.Visit Date 1/2/2017

Best Pizza in ORange County. Found this gem tucked away behind Target on Baker Street in Costa Mesa. Got a small stuffed CSP (Chicken, Spinach and Basil Pesto) which ended up being two meals. Great craft beer too!
This place offers genuine Chicago style deep and stuffed pizza. Friendly staff with good service and a small but excellent selection of craft beers. Definitely recommend and come here often myself!
DELICIOUS. It is the best Chicago style pizza I have had in California ever and it rivals a couple Chicago area pizza joints. I love this place and recommend it to anyone who loves pizza.
Once I tried their stuffed house pizza, I haven’t been able to go back to those other whack wannabe legit pizza spots… By far this is the BEST pizza I’ve ever had haha and their beer selection is great! 🙂
