Cute little donut shop with some amazing looking donuts. I was really impressed with the shop itself. Very clean, busy but quick, and a good selection of drinks also. Donuts are consistently made throughout the day so you get fresh donuts and we could choose from about a dozen types. Some common (buttermilk) and some not as common (bacon and maple, PB&J, Smores, etc.) The batter was very good. Moist, warm, and had a decent flavor on the regular donut hole I tried. Same on the other ones, however I wasn’t as impressed with flavor overall. Bacon maple was favorite. Smores didn’t have a lot of flavor for the chocolate/graham cracker, the marshmallow overtook it. I did like that none of them where overall sweet. Sometimes donuts get so sweet, the batter in these helped keep them balanced.
Sunday Morning at Sidecar DoughnutsSunday FundayLooking for an alternative Sunday Funday? There is no better way to start your early Sunday Morning than with Sidecar Doughnuts. If youre looking for both savory and sweet donuts, this is the place to be. We basically had a four-course adventure here: 1) breakfast, 2) breakfast, 3) dessert, and 4) dessert (thats all you need really). Hold on tight, youre about to get sugar wasted. We started off with their famous Green Eggs and Ham donut, which consisted of a poached egg with a green hollandaise sauce (basil, scallions, brown butter & lemon juice, swallowed by a whole donut. #ThankYouDr.Seuss#2 BreakfastBreakfast number 2 was the Maple Bacon donut, which was sweet and savory; bacon goes with everything! This donut had a sweet maple glaze atop of your traditional donut, BUT with chopped bacon bits sprinkled all about. #OINK!#3 DessertSkipping lunch and moving straight to dessert, the Malasada with strawberry jam was the perfect sugary transition and reminded us of sunny Hawaii mornings at Leonards Bakery. We would be in our flip flops, shorts, and tank tops to stand in a pretty long line to get our early morning DCC ( Donuts, Cookies and Cream ) fix. #ALOHA#4 DessertHere comes the Smore donut, which took us back to summer nights at the beach after a long day of swimming and barbecuing. We threw bonfires with two main ingredients: guitars and smores ( graham crackers, Hersheys candy bars, and marshmallows ). This Smore donut had a chocolate glaze, honey graham crumbs, and a toasted marshmallow on top to finish it off. #BonfireInOurMouths #WhenIMetYouInTheSUMMERAfter we finished it, it felt like the night was over, but alas it was still only morning. As if the sugar hadnt woken us up yet, we finished the Sidecar morning with some of their Vietnamese coffee and hopped in our car for the next spot. donutscookiesandcream.com

Perplexed. $9.50 for 3 ok to maybe good smallish donuts, but for $9.50 I want really good to great. Black velvet bland, the butter and cream was good but not $3 good.
