Good Japanese Food. This is a small, but good, Japanese restaurant. There was not enough room inside, so we took a table outside next to the parking lot. The outside dining lacks real ambiance. (It is a parking lot after all.) The food, however, was great. I had teriyaki chicken and California Rool. Unlike most Japanese restaurants, the chicken was good. (For some reason, most Japanese restaurants use poor quality chicken for their dishes.) My dining companions also like their dishes and gave this place a definite thumbs up.
I enjoyed the rainbow roll. It felt fresh.
Right across the street from the Ayres hotel, Wafu is quite the pleasant surprise. Nondescript in a strip mall, the food was quite good. The sushi rolls special presented nice samples of fresh and delicious rolls. The spicy tuna tataki and the baked Chilean sea bass are must tries.
