  We’ve been here several times and have always had a good experience. We tend to stick to the dim sum menu, as it is so very good, but I keep wanting to venture on to their seafood menu, as from what I’ve seen, it is also very good. Another one of the reasons why we like to come here is that you can order quite a bit of food without cashing in your retirement savings. Great food at low prices. Who could ask for more?

  I went here for a restaurant outing for work and had 8 people with me plus 3 staff. I had reserved the table weeks ahead of time after being told that they weren’t sometimes accommodating. When I got there, our table wasn’t ready. The staff said they would just put together two tables and an additional one if we needed it. They weren’t very patient considering I had 8 patients with me who were on wheel chair. My staff and I ordered for our patients first which wasn’t as bad as ordering for ourselves. My costaff and I had asked about certain things on the menu to see if they had anything that didn’t have animal products. I had ordered two: vegetable rolls, vegetable dumplings. We first asked about them and waited to get everyone’s order first, but one of the servers brought them out before we asked for them anyway. I found it extremely frustrating that one of the staff couldn’t keep track of who ordered what. Even asking for two separate receipts made it seem difficult for the hostess to grasp. She was really rude and wasn’t very patient. The food didn’t arrive together, they arrived separately. One individual got their plate 30 min before everyone else. Mine was ordered twice. It was a mess. We even argued with the hostess about not ordering an item and she wouldn’t take it back. The group seemed to have liked the food, but the service was terrible. Seeing that we had patients with us, you would think they would be more considerate. They didn’t bother checking on tea pots or getting us hot water refills. Even paying became difficult. We needed two separate bills. Hostess made it seem like a challenge to do so. It wasn’t a busy day, there were people there, but the hostess acted we were difficult to deal with. If it wasn’t for the food which wasn’t terrible, I would give dim sum king a lower rating. It was an absolute headache dealing with the hostess. I wouldn’t go here at all for large groups. I wouldn’t even come back here at all. I don’t already like dim sum so this would be a reason for me not to come back. If you’re in Daly City area and it’s just you and maybe one other person then you can check this place out. Their price isn’t bad and you get a decent amount of food. I just highly suggest looking up another place if you’re coming with a group. It also helps if you have someone who speaks Chinese or is knowledgeable about these kinds of places. I don’t think I’ve ever eaten anywhere where language was a huge factor.
