Terrible! A total waste of time and money. The seafood had definitely seen too much time out of the refrigerator. The oysters had developed a slimy jelly-like substance on them and the sashimi was warm and tasted like it was starting to spoil. You can chance getting parasites, worms, bacteria, hepatitis A, and other diseases from eating raw fish and oysters that have not been properly maintained all for one low dinner buffet cost of $25.00 per person. Trust me and take a pass on this one!
If you are up for a buffet, Kome provides a vast array of sushi and sashimi as well as chinese style food. Roasted oysters, crab legs, fish. Good quality for the price.
Not Worth the Money. Avoid this place if you plan to take a person with allergies here! There is barely any gluten free food here. There are better buffets around.
Kome’s UnKonscious!. I had previously reviewed Moonstar, which is close by and a contemporary of Kome. Kome, essentially, is Moonstar gone exponential. A buffet on steroids, or more apt, due to its locale, BALCO! Kome is a better value and offers far more variety. The crowds, representative of Kome’s extreme popularity, are a little daunting, but expected. Items such as BBQ pork, black bean garlic ribs, and the duck are scrumptious, especially when you consider these are the renderings of a massive buffet, The sushi is overwhelming, there are so many variations of it, you can’t possibly try them all in one sitting. As a matter of fact, you’d have to hit Kome several times to sample everything. Like shopping at Century 21 in NYC, your eyes literally glaze over upon first seeing the offerings before you, but If you can match your diligence to your appetite, you’re all set.
Great Buffet, Worth Price. I got a chance to visit friends in San Francisco. They brought me to this place. Wow Wow Wow… This is my first time in life to see a plenty of luxury food in Buffet Line. Sushi roll is not just a plain california roll. There are so many kind of decorated rolls, and also non stop serving fresh Sashimi. Duck, Seafood, Oyster, King Crab, what else… about 50 choices of dessert and fruit, I guess. I visited a second time again in the same week before I left California. And I’ll definitely come back again if I’m there.Love it …
An extremely long line and wait, always. Some good seafood not worth the price though. Very clean and expensive place.
GROSS. Waiting in long lines for buffet food? REALLY? Well, yes, and it’s not even good buffet food. Wait in line, get your cafeteria food…. except it’s all self-serve. That means everyone before you picks/sneezes/coughs at the food before you so by the time you’re up, you just want to find your way through the maze and crowd and sit back down. What happened to quality over quantity? Whatever happened to treating our taste buds? I mean, we’re talking $20 per person here.
