Who doesn’t love an all you can eat seafood buffet! Prices here are reasonable, and very good variety in seafood, cold & hot food. The sushi & sashimi selections are extensive. There is also a noodle bar where you can get freshly cooked noodles of your choice, however they are a little stingy on the toppings, asked for wontons, fishballs & mushrooms and I literally got 1 of each in my bowl of noodles. There were a lot of dessert options too, including a fairy floss machine. The lychee icecream was not that great, but the black sesame one was good, the mini egg tart was also a winner.
The food and variety were awesome.they even have oyster with different cooking and its all tasty. All in very good quality and good service.the crowds were heavy ass ussual.very recommended.
Moonstars. My cousin from Raider Nation (Oakland) came across the Bay Bridge for a visit and took me to this extensive and expansive buffet. I’d heard of Moonstar and all of its offerings. It was a rather thorough selection of Chinese, and some Japanese, cuisine. The dim sum and Chinese selections were, overall, quite good (awed by the sheer enormity of crab legs loaded on to some customers’ plates, wow). The sushi available was fairly representative of what you usually encounter at Asian buffets (it being Cali, there were lots of maki w/avocado). The dessert bar was a revelation; especially if you have kids, and/or the sweet tooth inclined, with you. There was a cotton candy station! To augment the ice cream station (with tons of different sprinkle accoutrements), ubiquitous jello, and the ever popular chocolate fountain. You can’t refuse candy floss! Like any buffet, you’re faced with the dilemma of what to eat and what to bypass. So, rather than placing yourself in that conundrum, just go back to Moonstar more often!
Good variety but not worth the price.
A Lot of Variety.. Great but pricey.
Great place for Asian buffet food.
